InfantSEE®
Pediatric Eye Care is something new to our practice. Dr. Sam Winston is an InfantSEE® provider, which gives infants (ages 6-12 months) a one time no cost eye exam helping infants to establish a lifetime of healthy vision. InfantSEE®, a public health program, managed by Optometry Cares® - The AOA Foundation, is designed to ensure that eye and vision care becomes an integral part of infant wellness care to improve a child's quality of life. Under this program, AOA optometrists provide a comprehensive eye and vision assessments for infants within the first year of life regardless of a family's income or access to insurance coverage. An InfantSEE® exam is a great start, but if your child is older then Dr. Winston recommends starting pediatric wellness exams at age 3 and another wellness eye exam before the child starts school. These exams are likely to be covered by your insurance.
